Helmet use amongst snowboarders and skiers is on an impressive rise for good reason. In reaction to this growing need, snowsports helmet manufacturers as well as the makers of various high-end hockey and skating helmets have made significant improvements in helmet design. Just like in the motorsports industries, these manufacturers warn wearers that impact energy is absorbed through partial destruction of the helmet, and that such damage may not be visible to the naked eye.

The Shok-SpotR™ Snow-Skate-Hockey Version was designed and tested specifically for this new breed of helmet. It’s available in black and chrome and calibrated for use on all three types. The stylized lightweight housing compliments any helmet while protecting the sensor element from scrapes and minor impacts. We recommend Shok-SpotR™ for use ONLY on brand new helmets that are certified to one or more of the following standards:
